Hello people, Could someone please tell me where firmware can be downloaded from? I don't mean doing it through means like sofware updater, but i want to get hold of a different phones firmware (still be LG) to try and use some of its files. If anyone knows how this can be done, there may be some good advancements in the combining of themes Thankyou, James

Hey, Do you mean it wont work? Its in the font settings option. If its not working properly then it means you havnt injected the screen.dmf file properly And no its not just KP501, I have a KP500 which i used to test it and it worked fine

Hey smyffcookies, Thankyou To install the theme you need to inject the .dmf files (as this is much safer), Ive described how to do this on this post and will probs be a page or two back. It's not too hard, just make sure you read carefully about injecting 'screen.dmf' as it doesnt go into a subfolder of 'DMF' (you'll get what i mean when you read it ) as this will control your font settings Hope you enjoy it Now, for followers of my posts: Firstly, my letter to LG has been sent and am now waiting for response But more importantly: Had quite a good finding today. We cookie users will not be alone with the .dmf problem. Many of LG's new/upcoming phones use the same interface but with some new things. Have got hold of some new content. There is a new prada effect for the menu's where instead of flying in they pop up from the bottom. Have found more content like startup/power off screens from other LG firmwares. Currently trying some very experimental stuff but I am not sure if it is going to work, so will not go into detail on that one Once I have explored what is available I will post my results. Please leave feedback on current combo James

To speed up the process I would be very grateful if someone could help me out here. Does anyone know how to extract the LGAPP from a .KDZ firmware image? I have managed with a .dz but they arent the same coding so it wont work with the program Thankyou James

Just taking every precaution here, my firmware is currently KP500_V10D. Is that ok for the theme?

Hey. It will depend on how you choose to apply the files. Make sure that you read through the post and read my posts VERY CAREFULLYOriginally I uploaded a CUST, however this doesnt work with every firmware. So, I uploaded the .dmf files You should apply it using the .dmf files I uploaded. Instructions on doing this are with the files. This will be alot lot safer doing it this way, so i'd reccomend you do

Gdgd. If you want to be safe and sure, backup all ur stuff to ur ext memory. Also backup your original CUST. Then at least if it does brick, you can either just resend your original CUST or I can send you some flashing software/firmware

Okay, Ive now uploaded some content for the LG Cookie. It contains various browsers from various firmwares however i must point out that they are a bit buggy atm. Theyre fully functional but theyre not all correctly positioned/may look strange. Otherwise, theres ringtones from other phones/startup-shutdown animations and sounds and a whole lot of content from the Lg Prada 2 and the LG KB770 Enjoy

Firstly open your original CUST using WinImage and select the 'LGAPP' folder. Then open the 'DMF' folder.
First we will start with musicplayer.dmf : Open the folder named 'Common' that is found in the 'DMF' folder. Now inject this into the folder and overwrite the original file.
Repeat this process (injecting into the 'Common' folder) with Popup_HR, Popup_VR, PopupAniConfirm, PopupAniConfirmHR, PopupAniConfirmVR, PopupAniWarningHR and PopupAniWarningVR
Excuse me for being rude,im just a kid But you said *inject this*,what is this *this*? And what folder?

IF you've already sent this to your phone cruddasj could you not upload the modded CUST you sent to make it easier for all of us to send this like?
