LOL Hey I from wich country is your V10F??

I just got the LG software update software and I need to choose the country.
(Canada doesnt have that firmware cuz Canada doesnt have Cookie ....)

Mine is from Spain but i'm in the UK but no problem
If you use the KP500 Utilities "Flash with assistant"  option you choose the firmware (copies it from your HD)
Rather than LG choosing it
If i let LG choose the firmware for some reason i get V10G which i guess is the latest for the UK but strangely it doesn't have the Facebook widget that V10F from Spain has
Go figure

Sorry But I kinda forgot whats LG KP500 Utilities... Is is the cmd looking thing to backup cust/send cust?

Or the thing we use to compress,uncompress DMF, DMF to SWF thingy?

KP500 Utilities is the old blackhorn prog where you use dos commands LGUI surprise surprise is the one with a "GUI"

I think the "flash with assistant" option is I in the early version then was option J in the later 4.02 or something version

It's the usual deal you choose menu option and it gives command prompts for you to follow

Although i think it does say .cab instead of .kdz

Not to sure if LGUI has all the functions of KP500 you have to set the correct memory section and its not immediately apparent what one you choose for a forced "flash with assistant" upgrade

KP500 is in my sig as a D/L

Every setting kept even flash contents and settings, and backgrounds

BUT!!!

The original Cust_theme was back, so had to re-make my cust_theme with henka's loaders

And BTW, don;t know why but the .kdz version didnt work for me so...
I used the .Cab version.

On Facebook it allows access to cookie files so you can upload photos

I think I've tried about 30 times to load the software on 2 systems and 2 OS's.   nothings working....   I keep ending with the OnStepMsg STEP_TYPE_ENV_ERROR delete m_pLGCyonUpdate at 57%.....     I've also tried about 4 different .kdz files...

Why the F&** does this have to be so hard to update??

No personal data lost, no private file lost (apps, ring tons and so on), german language as it was before.

Unfortunately it didn't solve the organizer's software bugs (weekly repeated events in calendar have always 00:00h as a starting time in the following weeks and are not displayed in the week's view).

First I had this error message:

This made me crazy and only after one hour pause I had the idea, not to have started the util KP500-Utils-EN.exe with administrator rights. Starting again WITH administrator rights .... Bingo! That was it! Extracting of the kdz file in this directory (see above) needs administrator rights...

I hope this helps some h´guis, who are as stupid as me ;-)

After giving up last night the damn thing finally updated first try this morning.     Unfortunately the real reason I was trying to update was my  phone freezing when loading the camera.    and the update didn't  solve the problem....
