I think I've tried about 30 times to load the software on 2 systems and 2 OS's.   nothings working....   I keep ending with the OnStepMsg STEP_TYPE_ENV_ERROR delete m_pLGCyonUpdate at 57%.....     I've also tried about 4 different .kdz files...

Why the F&** does this have to be so hard to update??

Now my LG KP501 (german) is updated from
old:  KP501AT-00_V10e-EUR-XXX-JUN-22-2009
to
new: KP500AT-00-V10z-CIS-XXX-AUG-21-2009
No personal data lost, no private file lost (apps, ring tons and so on), german language as it was before.

Unfortunately it didn't solve the organizer's software bugs (weekly repeated events in calendar have always 00:00h as a starting time in the following weeks and are not displayed in the week's view).

First I had this error message:

This made me crazy and only after one hour pause I had the idea, not to have started the util KP500-Utils-EN.exe with administrator rights. Starting again WITH administrator rights .... Bingo! That was it! Extracting of the kdz file in this directory (see above) needs administrator rights...

I hope this helps some h´guis, who are as stupid as me ;-)

After giving up last night the damn thing finally updated first try this morning.     Unfortunately the real reason I was trying to update was my  phone freezing when loading the camera.    and the update didn't  solve the problem....

you have to download the DLL posted in this thread and put in util folder and in lg update program foilder


Previous version V10a updated to V10Z_00 - no changes noticed only a Streaming option in connectivity

Need HELP. First i saw in other forum on HOW TO OPEN LINE by flashing my LG KP502 with a firmware KP500AT_V10n and input the eight zeros but it didnt unlock. Until i came to this mylgcookie.com forum, and followed thier instruction but when i enter the eight digit code it doesnt said any success on unlocking, but i could insert now a different simcard, but the problem was when i tried to open my INBOX it says "Message Initializing" i was wondering why? What should i do? Was it due to the Firmware that i flash? How can i flash an old firmware back?

YES I DID IT.... Running on Win7 always run LG_Utils AS ADMINISTRATOR everything goes well, but it is lock again with O2, and i cant unlock it now it always NOT AVAILABLE... i already inputted the eight digit unlocking code.

here is  V10F_06 .cab version insteed of .kdz
that should fix erros with kdz extraction
and it worked for me ,not like .kdz even how hard i tryed

thanks so much for your tutorial . i was a bit worried when i downloaded my firmware as could not see cab file just wdb file but put it into lg utils and encrypted it . only problem is , is that my iphone theme has been wiped off but thats no problem i will re-do it .

When I open LG Support tool after 2 seconds it says: LGMoblieSync, Program has started, LGMobileSync, close the program and press Try again, I have windows7 and when I close it it opens again, I have restarted computer but it doesnt work, always the same what should I do?
